Happy New Year

Do you make New Year’s Resolutions? One of the things I can't stand about welcoming a new year are the ridiculous New Year's resolutions. I'm guilty. Whether I want to or not, in my mind I make a list. And every year, just like 97% percent of you, I'm deeply disappointed in myself when I don't achieved most of them. But, as I we get close to 2009, I’ve been thinking about it....should I or should I not draw up resolutions for this year.

So I've made up my mind..... this year I've vowed to make resolutions I can keep! I'll settle for something simple within my reach.

Anyway...May this New Year bring newly found prosperity, love, happiness and delight in your life.

Happy New Year Frens....

Snapshot of Love

I'm so relieved that my mojo came back...
The other day I was sitting here at my desk looking at this unfinished canvas
which i've started painting a month ago...
at that point i couldn't figure out what i should do with it.
I'm actually happy it turns out good and i wanna share with all of you.
I choose this particular picture that Jessy took for us a while ago.
This picture made me smile. Hopefully they'll make you too.
I decided to play around with bright colors with a little touch of gold and black.
Here's the little preview...you can view more pics here.

A Movie and A Book

i picked up reading again...i thot i should try living a normal life instead of just scrap scrap scrap

I was at MPH the other day and i saw this book under the Best Seller Sections
Hmmm... the moment my hands was at the book i couldn't stop reading and finally stop scrapping Unbelievable ME...my hand started itching today and i know it's time to start scrapping. Its been only 2 days! LOL

My early synopsis of the book (i'm only at 4th Chapter)
At 45, Adrienne Willis must rethink her life when her husband abandons her for a younger woman.

The trials of raising her teenage children and caring for her sick father have worn her down, but at the request of a friend and in hopes of respite, she's gone to the coastal village of Rodanthe in North Carolina to tend the local inn for the weekend.

With a major storm brewing, the time away doesn't look promising...until a guest named Paul Flanner arrives. At 54, Paul is a successful surgeon, but in the previous six months his life has unraveled into something he doesn't recognize.

Estranged from his son and recently divorced, he's sold his practice and his home and has journeyed to this isolated town in hopes of closing a painful chapter in his past.

Adrienne and Paul come together as the storm brews over Rodanthe, but what begins between them over the weekend will resonate throughout the rest of their lives, intertwining past and future, love and loss.
COMING SOON AS A MAJOR MOTION PICTURE starring Richard Gere and Diane Lane! (keeping my finger cross that it comes to KL!)

IP Man

Not a Review.... (i watched em' today) No, no, no, it's not I-P Man
It's YEEP MANN
It's about this Wing Chun sifu
Not some hero called Internet Protocol Man
Who flies around fighting cybercrime.
It's a KUNGFU MOVIE.And it's BLOODY AWESOME.
I'm saying that because it IS AWESOME.
Haven't seen a kungfu movie I REALLY liked in ages.
But the fighting here was damn good.
Kinda makes you wanna learn Wing Chun as well.

I actually LIKED the main character
Not because he can kick ass
But because he can kick ass AND look damn cool doing it.
I mean cool not just because he can kick ass
But the WAY he does it.

Donnie Yen as Ip Man does it with such little effort
He is practically invicible and he does it with such a beautifying smile
If you were his opponent,You be smiling back at him
Even though your legs, arms and neck have all been broken.
The fight scenes are damn cool as well
Got quite a few one on ones
One where he uses a damn LOOONG pole
And one where he uses a FEATHER DUSTER
To beat the crap out of the bad guy using a damn SWORD.
And if you think the one on ones are great,Wait till you see him take on TEN karate-ing Japs.
Fuiyoo

In every movie will surely have the women in life..she's quite cute and tall
Taller than him
The whole movie also flows along pretty well
Lots of fighting in between
And not THAT much emo-ing too.
Got drama drama a bit,But at least it doesn't bore you.

Scary Headline

Today headlines in local newspaper here....15 housing estates in Ampang and Pandan face possible landslides!

Huh? Is this my area?.... a fren of mine called this morning and ask me the same thing....that sounds scary though... i really hope not. I've been sitting here with my dearie computer since 5 hours ago...i just felt bored today....no kids and no hubby today and NO scrapping. I can seems to push myself to do anything. Arrggghhh...this is torturing. By right I should have more energy and feel a lot more focus on things now. But i feel otherwise...sigh

One thing for sure...i managed to upgrade both blogs...yey...i just love them! It took me 2 days to decide which skin to use....adding missing widgets.....this is also tiring. Maybe am getting slightly older.

I just finished editing my kids latest photos.....hmm...where are they now? Started missing my kiddos already. Dun worrie...they are safe and sound at mom's place.

Despite how much I wanted to update my blog, lately I feel time is never enough for me...I keep wishing I had more and more. So much things to do and things I plan to do....it is hard to get things to fall into place lately. I'm so relieved I finally let few guilts out from my head.....1) I maximised my hubby's credit card...gosh! thats scary....2) I banged my car again..... what's new with me????...it seems my life is a bit out of track. When I used to work....life was pretty organised....I used to be so good managing people's life but that has passed! I can't even organised mine properly....Sigh

I've just got back from Krabi, a lovely province in south of Thailand with many well known and beautiful beaches and islands. Short break but good getaway for me and hubby. Nothing great to share except few nice shots.

A mom, A Blog ...And a life in between

What defines Happiness? According to Wikipedia, it is an emotion associated with feelings ranging from contentment and satisfaction to bliss and intense joy.

When searching for an image of happiness, I found smiling faces, Blue birds, Poems, Yoga stances, Guns (yes guns…it quoted in a Beatles song “Happiness is a warm gun”.)

I was given a note from a close friend, she wrote “Happiness is always close to us, we just have to grab it & not let go, things, circumstance, situations will always change but you have to fight & keep standing.” She went on to write ”Enjoy life, Enjoy love”.

I saw this quote somewhere in the net “We can search all over trying to find happiness; we go from person to person hoping they will give us Happiness. We move from our home and travel the world trying to find some peace and joy. The thing is no matter where we are, who we see, what we do, our happiness comes from within.”

Here are a few quotes on happiness:
“Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.” – Albert Schweitzer

“If only we’d stop trying to be happy we’d have a pretty good time.” – Edith Wharton

“Happiness is having a large, loving, caring, close-knit family in another city.” – George Burns

“There is only one happiness in life, to love and be loved.” – George Sand

“If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.” – HH The Dalai Lama

For all practical reason I am happy – because I am blessed with a wonderful family, we are committed to each other, we learn from one other. There is nothing that I wouldn’t do for Qawiem and Zharif and I know the same goes for them. I share a happy marriage with my husband; we are able to communicate with each other on the best friends level. He picks me up when I am down and I support him as he needs me too as well. There are times when things are not sunshine and roses, with us, we do have harsh words with each other, but we do know when we have hurt the others feelings and we care enough about the other to fix the hurt in the best way we can. He is amazing and every day I am more amazed at him.

So what I can say for me is you won’t often find a smile on my face, but that smile is in my heart where it needs to be. You won’t find the blue birds of happiness flying around my head, but you will find them in my heart fluttering around. I won’t be spouting poems, and quotes in Yoga stances to show you my happiness, but all those things are done in my heart where they need to be. And no matter how tempting it would be to be gone from this world, I will never look to warm guns, drugs, drinks or infidelity for happiness. I am choosing to be selfish with my happiness; I am sharing it with no one… nor do I need to show it off to anyone.

So if you are lost and looking for your happiness, know that it is right there in you. You don’t have to look for it in forbidden territories – whatever your addiction maybe. It is in you.

I'm sharing one of my happiness who turns into pirate on the Haloween Day!

I received an album order from The Choice Store in Bangsar....it was an order from a lovely lady, Jolene...owner of OWL. She is ordering the album for David Archuleta! Do you know who is David? YES, American Idol Runner Up. Wow....David will be receiving my album for his coming birthday. This is awesome. I'm not his fan but i'm thrilled!

Biodata of David Archuleta
