It's been stressful

Am sorry I haven't done much justice to my blog...I've not been able to blog lately...my lil ones are ill and the younger one still is and I'm just not in the mood for anything...With Raya coming, I bought so much ingredients to make my favourite biscotti...I wonder whether I have time to do it. I am just tired...I want to sleep for one full day!!! I know that is impossible at this moment...me, hubby and maid are so into Zharif at this moment..not that we ignore Qawiem completely but we need to make sure Zharif take his inhaler every 4 hours. Antiobotics and cough mixture on time. And he's been very cranky.

I took this photo yesterday ..... Everytime I look at him, my heart breaks....he has become so tiny...he has no appetite to eat. Its only a little milk and lots of medication.

Qawiem is back at school today.... active as ever and he's so ready for raya. Look at this two lifetime buddies... the gusti buddies - P/S: Qawiem likes to gusti his dad every nite!!

Am planning to snap some pictures for this raya and it will be my latest project called Countdown to 2008 Hari Raya... I also have not been fair to my Canon 400D...he's been sitting in the bag for a while...it's time to get u out ...this is my first shot - Qawiem with raya cookies....I agree...is not a nice sharp shot...its been a while...gimme a break! Till then...Selamat Hari Raya..

My latest project

Lately I've lost a wee bit of interest in scrapping...maybe it's because of fasting month ...I get sleepy and my body tires easily. To get myself to sit and scrap is a challenge by itself. But I somehow managed to alter a round chipboard into a vintage hanging deco. I kinda like the outcome...yippie..

Malaysian Services

I'm really in a very stressed mode...my maid is going back soon and looking for a good one is really a pain. With insufficient supplies of maid who prefers to work with 'mat saleh' doesn't make it any easy for me. I'm still searching high and low for a good agent but somebody told me that there is no such thing as good agent...it is all about your luck...the agents are all the same! Maybe it's true....With the business I'm running and 2 little boys at home, without any helper I'd probably go mad! Yesterday I spent 5 hours at Putrajaya Immigration just to extend my maid's stay for only 1 month....and it took me that long before they could attend to me. And yet, that isn't the end of it....I still have to go back there by end of the month to do her departure memo. Arrrrggghhh....and at the same time I was trying to call Air Asia to check on why my flight booking for her is still pending....trying for 12 solid hours...practically calling them from 9.30am to 10.30pm....and I'm still being put on hold! Bravo...big thanks to Malaysian services.

The Art for Frienship

"Not anybody and everybody can be your friend. It must be someone as close to you as your skin, someone who imparts color, drama, meaning to your life." - Henry Miller

WHAT IS A FRIEND? I like Henry Miller description of a friend - "Someone who imparts color, drama and meaning to your life." Someone said that the ideal friendship is between people who share the same interests like scrapbooking . For me, one of the greatest joys of blogging is gaining friends especially among scrappers. They constantly impart color to my life. They also impart drama. I choose my friends because I believe it is better to cultivate a few close friendships than to maintain many superficial acquaintances.

Scrappingglitz

I've been really disturbed lately about the whispers that's been going around about Scrappingglitz. Maybe I've worked so hard to make Scrappingglitz happen and when less than kind words starts going around about "my baby", it hurts me really bad especially when the things they say are not true and damaging SG's reputation.

Here is my post that i've posted in SG blog.

People talk about products and services. The stuff they use every day and what they buy or plan to buy or what they’ve already bought.

Some people are talking about me and what I’m selling right now. Which is a good thing, then I know for sure ScrappingGlitz’s presence is felt. But I don’t really appreciate the misinformed talk…you know, I started this business from scratch and it involved lots of passion and hard work, so it’s disheartening to listen to misconceptions on the way business is run at ScrappingGlitz.

But like it or not, I’ve only two choices: let people talk about SG, spread rumors, and get it wrong; or clarify things and make it work for me.

So here I am clarifying, by clearing up some misinformation that’s been circulating of late. Here are some questions you may want answered…

Is it true that ScrappingGlitz’ postal charges are higher compared to other online scrap stores?

Yes and no! I’m wishing really hard that people wouldn’t compare local postal delivery with the service of a courier company, it’s like comparing an apple to an orange. I chose more reliable courier company as I have more control over timelines and delivery quality to customers.

Is it true that ScrappingGlitz doesn’t have a diversed range of products?

Brace yourselves fellow scrappers, when I say that this is indeed true!!!

I hate the word ‘kiasu’. So we don’t always bring in the same products as other stores neither do we have the complete and absolute range.

SG strives its very best to be uniquely diversed. We are not wannabes as we respect our fellow online scrapper stores out there. We are not out to compete directly by selling the same products.

SG products are different in a sense that for a two month old business, we already have in our store a whopping 29 brands! If that isn’t impressive enough, we bring in new stock on a weekly basis and we’re always on the lookout for fresh new products.

And we would never resort to such act of tarnishing their reputation or badmouthing them since we all know our businesses stem from our passion and love for the art of scrapping.

At SG, we have class and style. We embrace our strengths and focus on what we can offer. We’re hoping we will win the respect of those we’re dealing with, the prospects that we’re talking to and become a winner in the eyes of everyone that we deal with.

And of course, we LOVE the fact that we’re not simply out to make quick big bucks, but to indulge in our passion and fraternise with fellow hobbyists. It’s fun to be able to share the same passion on a larger scale.

So here’s what we’re going to do.

We’ll continue running our business in an honest, friendly and ethical manner and let our customers decide who they want to do business with.

We’re also very open to customer suggestions so if you think our store should have a certain something, I’d be delighted if you told me exactly what you’d like to see up for grabs at SG.

From the bottom of my heart, I apologize if anyone is offended but I merely wanted to clear the air and defend SG, my labour of love. Peace and happy scrapping.
